Recognised for designs that listen to the wearer’s need for practicality and their desire for different, integrity is a core value in Lily’s work. Each fine detail is carefully considered. She’s just a human, intrigued by whimsical ways to re-imagine classic silhouettes, whilst balancing individuality and timelessness equally.

Awards & Recognitions

  • Open Champion Designer 2024.

    1st Place Winner in the Open Category (over 18s) with my original design entered into the Fairholme Fashion Week Awards 2024.

    The brief was entitled "Red, red rose", which was to be interpreted with an original use of fabrics, finishes, techniques, and design choices - with a particular emphasis on sustainability.

    My look was constructed entirely from remnant fabric offcuts to minimise waste and adopt a frugal approach to my runway outfit, with a focus on natural fibres such as cotton, linen, and silk.

  • After entering ALOHAS very first Shoe Design Contest in 2023, my original design was voted into the top ten applicants, and later was announced the winner.

    First place prize included the development and manufacture of my shoe design “Emelia” as a collaboration with the ALOHAS brand, the release of the shoe amongst their shoe collections, as well as tuition fees covered to study anywhere in the world.

    Choosing to study in Florence, Italy, I completed a shoemaking course to further pursue my passion and expertise for footwear.

  • Awarded Queensland Fashion Design Graduate of the Year, 2021.

    Recognised for my portfolio of works from 2017-2020.

  • Awarded the Alla Moda Excellence in Design Award, 2020.

  • Graduated with First Class Honours in Fashion Design, 2020.

  • Australian Wool Board Student Bursary - 2020 Recipient

    Awarded to students whose work demonstrates the innovative use of a large component of wool or wool blend textiles, and is of outstanding calibre.
